Mira Sport Identification


The Mira Sport is one of Mira's longest running electric shower ranges and there have been several versions of it over the years. 


This guide lists the main features of each generation of the Mira Sport to help you identify your particular shower. The list below starts with the latest generation and works backwards. 


 

January 2012 - Current


The following versions of the Mira Sport are included in this range:

 



 

 

The main features of this range are: 

 

  • Control knobs one above the other and the temperature dial is bigger than the element selector  
  • Chrome trim at top and bottom of the unit  
  • Sticky label on the BOTTOM of the unit 
  • Standard versions look exactly the same and only identified by the sticker on the bottom 
  • The Sport Max version has push button element selectors, which light up  
  • The Thermostatic model has the word ‘Thermostatic’ written on the bottom left-hand side of the front cover  
  • The Multi-Fit version - The outlet on the is on the left-hand side. It is on the right-hand side on all of the other versions

December 2005 - January 2012


The following versions of the Mira Sport are included in this range:

 

 


 

 

The main features of this range are: 

 

  • Control knobs one above the other and the temperature dial is bigger than the element selector  
  • The word 'Temperature' has been removed from above the bottom dial.  
  • Sticky label on the TOP of the unit 
  • Standard versions look exactly the same and only identified by the sticker on the top
  • The Sport Max version has push button element selectors, which light up  
  • The Thermostatic model only has the Low Flow light in the top right
  • Mira Logic Electric fittings

October 1998 - December 2005


The following versions of the Mira Sport are included in this range:

 


 


The main features of this range are: 

 

  • Control knobs one above the other and are the same size  
  • The word 'Temperature' is printed on the bottom dial.  
  • Sticky label on the TOP of the unit 
  • Standard versions look exactly the same and only identified by the sticker on the top  
  • The 10.8kW version has push button element selection
  • Mira Response fittings

August 1996 - October 1998 


The following versions of the Mira Sport are included in this range:

 




The main features of this range are: 

 

  • Control Knobs are side by side and are equal sized
  • Does not have the grey control panel that was present on the J84
  • The 8.5kW variations had 3 neon indicators
  • Mira  Response fittings



 

September 1992 - August 1996 


The following versions of the Mira Sport are included in this range:

 

 





The main features of this range are: 

 

  • Control Knobs are side by side and are equal sized
  • Grey control panel 
  • 8.5kW variations had 3 neon indicators
  • Mira 300 and Mira 400 fittings

  • The Top dial has the settings COOL, HEAT 1 and HEAT 2
  • Mira 300 and Mira 400 fittings




September 1992 - August 1996


The following versions of the Mira Sport are included in this range:

 

  • Mira Sport J83A (M7)
  • Mira Sport J83B (M8.2)

 

 

 

The main features of this range are: 

 

  • Control Knobs are located one above the other 
  • The Top dial has the settings COOL, HEAT 1 and HEAT 2
  • Mira 300 and Mira 400 fittings
